For those who have trouble ignoring the black bars that appear along the top and bottom of their TV screens, the 58-inch Vizio XVT Series Cinemawide LED Smart TV is here with a 21:9 aspect ratio. It happens to wield Theater 3D technology that offers users an immersive entertainment experience.

Capable of completely eliminating the black bars seen on regular 16:9 screens with its 21:9 ratio, the Vizio XVT Series Cinemawide LED Smart TV complements the 2.35:1 aspect ratio employed in a lot of Hollywood movies. The 58-inch panel offers a 2560 x 1080p resolution and it is equipped with Edge Lit Razor LED technology to boost the HD experience. The integrated Smart Dimming feature controls the contrast and detailing, while SRS StudioSound HD supports the audio output.

“As the first to bring a 21:9 aspect ratio, ultra-wide screen 3D HDTV of its kind to the U.S. market, we’re proud to be giving consumers the opportunity to view movies the way they were meant to be enjoyed,” commented Matt McRae, Chief Technology Officer, Vizio. “Not only does the Cinemawide HDTV eliminate the black bars, it also allows movie and tech enthusiasts to get the most out of their HD and 3D experiences with excellent picture quality and Vizio Internet Apps.”
