The price of the the Sony 4K Ultra HD video player is here for those who have no qualms about dropping the change for it and the accompanying 84-inch 4K LED XBR-84X900 TV. This bundle meant for customers in the US, comes with multiple full-length Hollywood movies and videos.
The LED TV in question is powered by a 4K X-Reality Pro three-chip picture engine, which claims to project Blu-ray discs in near-4K resolution. The manufacturer says that the TV is capable of rendering true 4K HD videos when used in conjunction with the video player. According to the President and chief operating officer of Sony, Phile Molyneux, this pair can deliver ‘immersive and awe-inspiring entertainment’ at home.
Moreover, the package is not limited to the 4K Ultra HD video player and the huge television set; it also tags along the Sony Xperia Tablet S that has been pre-loaded with a dedicated app to act as the remote controller for the system. 4K movies pre-loaded on the device include The Karate Kid, Salt, Taxi Driver, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Bad Teacher, The Other Guys, That’s My Boy and Total Recall (2012).
The LED TV spanning 84 inches, boasts of reproducing cinematic sound of up to 50 watts through the 10-unit speaker system complete with subwoofer. Deployed with the Motionflow XR960 technology, it can also be used for watching 3D videos. And what’s more, users can enjoy two-player games without a split screen, thanks to its SimulView technology. PlayMemories Studio which comes pre-loaded on the PS3, can be used to edit and share images in full 4K resolution too.
While the system’s built-in Wi-Fi can be used for streaming content through compatible devices, Intelligent Connect comes to the rescue for watching content saved on a PC or a tablet. The MediaRemote application can be installed on any smartphone for using it as a remote control for the TV. All these features are crammed into the device that measures 44.75 x 84.25 x 3.63 inches and weighs approximately 176.3 pounds.
The Sony 4K Ultra HD video player will be available for purchase in a bundle with the 84-inch 4K LED TV XBR-84X900 and the Sony Xperia Tablet S for a price of $24,999.99 (approx. Rs. 1,356,575). It will be exhibited at Star-Studded Event at the House of Rock.
