A few days back LG introduced the HX906TX Cinema 3D Sound HTS which comes integrated with a 9.1 speaker system. It reportedly delivers surround sound at home as powerful as in movie theatres and live concerts.

Offering 360-degree sound, the system incorporates a total of ten speakers for providing optimized, multi-directional audio. Placed atop the Tallboy speaker units, the four Upright 3D speakers add dimension to the traditional 5.1 channels found on a HTS. They are said to deliver state-of-the-art audio by pumping sound upward so that the vertical space is totally engulfed in sound. Besides this a 360-degree Reflector embedded in every Upright 3D speaker reflects sound in all directions.

“LG is pioneering the field of 3D sound with the 9.1 speaker system on the HX906TX. Along with our groundbreaking CINEMA 3D TV, the HX906TX sets new standards in immersive entertainment, with a sound so rich and textured, it’s hard to believe it’s not real,” cited Havis Kwon, President and CEO of LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company.

Providing high-tech sound quality is the company’s 3D effect DSP Sound Field Expansion technology which widens the horizontal audio field to make users feel as if they are right in the middle of the action happening on screen. This latest HTS equips the 3D Sound Analyzer for analyzing complicated layers of original sound and adding sound information to any empty space for producing a more detailed and realistic experience.

The metallic silver, glossy textured HX906TX additionally features 3D Blu-ray Playback which produces 3D images in full, 1,080p HD with 12-bit, 4,096-step gradation. Furthermore, the system is capable of supporting Wi-Fi Direct and allows users to access or share any content on DLNA-certified digital devices like mobile phones, tablets and PCs.

The LG HX906TX Cinema 3D Sound HTS will be showcased at IFA 2011 next month. Information about its pricing and availability is not yet been disclosed.
