Sony LED TV series powered by X-Reality launched in India
Sony India recently revealed its new range of LED TVs powered by the X-Reality picture engine which is said to deliver high-caliber picture quality. The fifteen models in this series enable users to view, communicate and search the web through them.
Nine out of the said fifteen are Full HD 3D TVs via which users can experience 3D viewing. All of these latest models range between 22-inches to 65-inches. Sony has also declared plans to maintain its market leadership with a 30 percent share in the flat panel display segment. For this it has decided to build a multi-media brand campaign with Rs.150 crore marketing investment. The company further aims to unveil 1,000 new outlets in FY11 through aggressive channel expansion.
Masaru Tamagawa, Managing Director, Sony India explained, “The new Sony LED TV with its unique X-Reality picture engine will redefine television viewing once again by providing the best picture quality to the customers. Not only this, BRAVIA provides complete entertainment – from instant access to online video content to the immersiveness of 3D, thus, being an integrated entertainment hub for unparalleled convenience and versatility. He added saying, ‘BRAVIA is our flagship category contributing 35% to total sales. This financial year, we plan to maintain 30% market share backed by strong product line-up, aggressive marketing strategy and robust expansion plans.”
Whether it’s a high definition or a standard source, the X-Reality picture engine incorporated in the new series models will analyze every scene pixel-by-pixel and employ sophisticated pattern matching the picture. By improving the contrast, delivering minutely fine details and reproducing vivid images to display true-to-life colors, Sony claims that their new picture engine will provide users a cutting edge visual experience.
The company also has on offer some exclusive internet content like Sony Entertainment Television video clips, Music Search which allows users to search data about the artist, album and song whilst listening to music and upcoming apps such as Friday Moviez. This new line-up is being termed by the company as the rebirth of 3D HD TVs.
The new Sony LED TV series powered by X-Reality is scheduled to be available soon through Sony retail outlets across India. Their prices range between Rs. 20,900 to Rs. 3, 59,900.
