Pioneer Music Tap music systems capable of syncing with AirPlay
Pioneer Music Tap music systems, capable of synchronizing directly with Apple AirPlay, were recently unveiled at the Cedia Expo 2011. The second in the company’s collection of AirPlay capable devices, users have a choice of two branded models, Pioneer and Elite.
With Music Tap systems, users can play tracks from anywhere within its operating range, regardless of where it is stored. In addition to AirPlay, they will also offer connection to accompanying apps like Pandora Internet radio, iHeartRadio and other music streaming service, thus providing access to a virtually infinite playlist, without going through the hassles of organizing it.
“By incorporating AirPlay into more of our product lines, first with audio/video receivers and now with Music Tap, Pioneer is making it possible for consumers to quickly access and listen to their iTunes music library throughout the home. These new systems are great additions to any room or office. Although they’re compact, they produce ‘larger-than-life’ sound, and because both models are also equipped with a wireless connection, multiple units can be easily placed in different rooms,” said Chris Walker, director AV marketing and product planning for the home entertainment division of Pioneer Electronics, USA.
Music Tap systems come with DLNA 1.5 certification, which support wireless streaming of FLAC and WAV files from any certified device within reach. Additionally, it also offers access to vTuner which gives direct way in to over 16,000 radio stations over the internet. With Air Jam feature, users can create a shared playlist from a number of individual libraries. The app also stores the list of songs from each session.
The Pioneer Music Tap music systems will be commercially available from October this year. The Elite model can be grabbed for a price of $479 (approx Rs. 22,340) and the Pioneer for $399 (approx Rs. 18,609).
