TiVo Premiere Elite set-top box with 2TB storage disclosed
TiVo has released its new Premiere Elite set-top box which comes with four digital tuners and provides 2TB of storage. This DVR incorporates Full HD support and is THX certified.
The four tuners can record up to 4 shows simultaneously and allows users to modify their program recordings as well as create a library of personalized media content. This device is capable of supporting HDMI compliant splitters with up to 16 HDMI ports. The company states that since users have 300 hours of HD recording space to fill, they won’t have to delete any previous recording for fitting in new ones.

Building upon the company’s earlier Series4 Premiere platform, the DVR features a user friendly interface and integrates Web entertainment from Netflix, Pandora, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video and YouTube, among others. Claiming to deliver optimal video and audio fidelity, this new DVR can either be controlled by the TiVo Slide remote embedded with a QWERTY keyboard or its official apps that are available for iOS devices. Networking options like MoCa along with integrated Ethernet connectivity are also presented to users.
