Samsung unleashes five new Blu-ray Home Theater Systems
Earlier in the day we had reported about Samsung’s new 2010 lineup consisting of eight plasma ultra slim TVs. Now the same company discloses the U.S. pricing and availability of the next-generation Blu-ray Home Theater Systems. The offerings in question here include the HT-C6930W, HT-C6730W, HT-C7530W as well as the entry-level HT-C6500 and HT-C5500.
The five new products are seen packed in a no-grill speaker appearance and include Samsung’s Crystal Amplifier Pro technology. The HT-C6930W model is noted to be a Blu-ray integrated home theater system which also provides customers with 3D capability. The Samsung HT-C6930W and HT-C6730W boast of 7.1-channel 3D surround sound, Musical Room Calibration and integrated digital signal processor.

With this year’s lineup of Blu-ray Home Theater Systems, we’re kicking it up a notch by delivering a fully immersive home theater experience for every consumer – including 3D capability and lifelike, pristine audio quality – all with an elegant design in one easy to use system,” states John Revie, senior vice president of Home Entertainment for Samsung Electronics America.
They also offer 1080p video playback for standard DVDs as well as Blu-ray discs while also allowing support for Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD high-definition audio formats. The complete system comprises of eight speakers in all with two HDMI inputs, a wide center channel speaker, two tower speakers, a large subwoofer and four surround speakers with wireless rear satellite speakers.
The Samsung HT-C7530W includes the Touch of Color design and sports an appealing appearance that is set to compliment any furniture. The cabinet of the receiver is fashioned with a luxurious translucent material and exuberates of a wood-grain texture. The 5.1-channel system includes two wireless rear speakers, two half-tall speakers, a subwoofer, a center unit, 1 GB embedded memory, a Wi-Fi dongle and 2 HDMI inputs.
The 1000W Samsung HT-C5500 and HT-C6500 Blu-ray Home Theater Systems comprises of 5.1 channel surround sound, superior auto sound calibration as well as an iPod/iPhone dock. The latter offering also provides customers with 1GB integrated storage, upgraded speakers and 2 HDMI inputs. The HT-C6930W, HT-C6730W and HT-C6500 also feature integrated WiFi connectivity. The HT-C7530W model has the ability to support Wi-Fi via the included wireless dongle. They also comprise of an Allshare compatibility.
The prices start at $499.99 (approx. Rs.22,717) for the HT-C5500 to $999.99 (approx. Rs.45,434) for the HT-C7530W.
