Lite-On unveils iHES208 8X Blu-ray Disc Reader with DVD Writer Combo
The ultimate PC solution from Lite-On for writing DVDs and watching movies is all set to make its global appearance. The company launches iHES208 8X internal Blu-ray Disc Combo comprising of the Blu-ray disc reader and DVD writer.
High definition content can be viewed and users can also achieve data files onto the DVD or CD. The device has the ability to playback different formats such as DVD, CD and Blu-ray and can also record on various types of DVD and CD. Blu-ray discs are readable at speeds up to 8X by the player. Various writing speeds are supported by the player including DVD±R at 16X, DVD±R DL and DVD+RW at 8X, DVD-RW at 6X and DVD-RAM at 12X.

LightScribe technology is incorporated into the iHES208 which enables any form of artwork to silkscreen directly onto the surface of the CD or DVD which is supported by LightScribe. The device also includes the latest industry standard Serial ATA interface. This gives improved compatibility and performance to the player.
The latest LightScribe software provides a neat finished look to the DVDs and CDs making permanent markers, printers and adhesive labels obsolete. Customers can print unique labels onto their DVD or CD by simply flipping the disc over and reinserting it again to label it. The labeling can be done based on any artwork, photographs and text.
