Sony Giga Juke HDD Hi-Fi Systems Released
Two special jukeboxes that allow users to load their favorite tracks on the HDD have made it to the market with a new way to access a wide range of music collections without any hassles.
Sony has rolled out Giga Juke NAS-SC500PK and NAS-E300HD HDD Hi-Fi systems that let consumers load their desired songs onto an integrated hard disk drive and create their own jukebox with their music library.
In the Giga Juke NAS-SC500PK, a built-in 160GB hard disk drive, a multi-room feature, and a music server with a wireless player are the main highlights that make the system a complete package of entertainment. Users can add client players and let up to five system users to enjoy the music wirelessly, access the main server and play different songs in five different areas, and even play the same song in each room simultaneously with a wireless player by just a click on the ‘party’ button.
The available “Music Transfer” software enables users to directly transfer music files from a PC. They can either import the file to the jukebox from a PC through a LAN cable or wirelessly by using a broadband router and the system’s router. It has the ability to recognize and add only new titles while updating the collection.
Supporting files such as MP3, AAC, Linear PCM, WMA and ATRAC, the NAS-SC500PK allows consumers to access music from an array of sources that include a CD, radio, home PC and vinyl as well as the Internet. They can even search their favorite artists in an alphabetic format and access the Internet radio from the wireless player.
For an outstanding music listening experience, the HDD Hi-Fi system has the main unit speakers that come bundled with a redesigned woofer featuring twin magnet technology. These features help to deliver superior sound clarity and bass frequency response. Moreover, the incorporated Sony’s DSEE (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) technology restores the original sound quality and eliminates the worry of losing high frequencies while file compression. There is also 100W of award-winning S-MASTER digital amplification.
Apart from that, it even offers the “SensMe channels” feature to analyze and categorize the music library into 27 different channels that match one’s different moods. In order to take the comfort and convenience to the next level, the Sony NAS-SC500PK packs in a USB port, a DMPORT adaptor for iPod connection and a WM-PORT for hooking a Walkman player.
Shifting the attention to the Giga Juke NAS-E300HD, it features an 80GB HDD, 60W of amplification, a built-in WM-PORT and support for MP3, AAC and WMA audio file formats.
Though the price is yet to be announced, the Giga Juke NAS-SC500PK and NAS-E300HD HDD Hi-Fi systems are scheduled to be available for purchase across the European market by mid-June 2009.
