Sony Announces CMT-BX20i and CMT-BX50BTi iPod Docks in the US

Sony CMT-BX20i and CMT-BX50BTi iPod Docks

Sony has announced to introduce the iPod line of shelf systems namely CMT-BX20i and CMT-BX50BTi. Both the devices are equipped with Bluetooth connectivity.

As expected from Sony, the new CMT-BX20i and CMT-BX50BTi features an elegant outlook with glossy black finishes and florescent displays. The new iPod docks also allow users to access the iPod menu through the remote control.

The CMT-BX20i system features optical drive that supports CD-R, CD-RW and MP3 Playback. It is also equipped with an audio-in jack and a bass reflex speaker system with 50 watts, which enhances the music experience. Moreover it also features AM/FM tuner with 30 station presets. Dynamic Sound Generator X-tra sound processing is also achieved by the CMT-BX20i.

On the other hand the CMT-BX50BTi sports Bluetooth A2DP technology that enables streaming CD-quality music to other Bluetooth enabled devices wirelessly. That means users can stream music to Bluetooth-enabled headphones, PCs, digital music players and also mobile phones.

Both the new systems will be shipped next month. The CMT-BX20i system will be available in US for $130 (around Rs. 5,090) while the CMT-BX50BTi will cost $180 (around Rs. 7,050).
