Amazon and Wal-Mart offer HD DVD Reparations to the Buyers

Everyone knows about the HD DVD and Blu-ray Player fight that happened recently. Blu-ray winning over the HD DVD format was also quite a breaking news in the technology sector. There’s now news that the retailers are having a growing soft corner for the HD DVD buyers. Hence, they are planning to benefit those customers with the new service.

Popular online retailer Amazon, has announced HD DVD Reparations. Buyers who purchased HD-DVD hardware from the online retailer have been declared to gain $50 in store credit, provided they have the issuance of special promo codes. The offer will expire in one year’s time i.e. April 9th, 2009.

Additionally, Wal-Mart has also announced a similar scheme that provides full refunds to the customers who purchased HD DVD players on or after November 1st. Before April 30th, they need to return the HD-DVD hardware along with the original receipt to get the refund.

Last month, Best Buy online retail store had introduced a $50 credit scheme.
