Panasonic has announced the launch of its first home theater in a box (HTiB) system, known as SC-BT100. The appealing functionality of its system is that it comes equipped with an in-built Blu-ray Disc player.
It is an ideal home entertainment system for a high definition, flat panel large screen television as well as iPods, as it has an incorporated dock to charge and also play music as well as videos. In addition, it throws out the details of the audio tracks and menus on the screen.
Besides, the SC-BT100 comes bundled with remote control, SD Memory Card slot and compatibility with standard and High Definition AVCHD format to playback digital images or original videos. It also includes an optical input that supports digital 5.1channel audio connection, digital video recorder and game system. The other specs are Viera Link HDAVI control, HDMI digital A/V connectivity, which ensures one-touch access to all the components.

The latest home theater system allows enhancement to wireless full 7.1 channel sound by purchasing optional transceiver and two side speakers. Further the included receiver delivers high-performance audio through the supported audio codecs that include Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD, DTS-HD, DTS-HD High Resolution, DTS-HD Master Audio and Linear PCM. A Kelton-design subwoofer, Whisper-mode Surround and front and center channel speakers are available in the Panasonic SC-BT100 for high-bass and surround sound effects without disturbing others.
Coming to the pre-installed Blu-ray disc player, it packs a Final Standard Profile to provide improved functions, including Bonus View and audio mixing. Users can easily switch the sound between the main and sub windows.
Expected to hit the market by late Spring, the Panasonic SC-BT100 home theater system with Blu-ray disc player costs $999.95 (approx. Rs. 39,960).
