Denon DVD-3800BDCI and DVD-2500BTC Blu-ray DVD Players Launched

Denon Electronics has announced the launch of two new DVD players, namely DVD-3800BDCI BD-ROM Profile 1 version 1.1 Blu-ray Disc Player and the DVD-2500BTC BD-ROM Profile 1 version 1.1 Blu-ray Disc Transport.

With the introduction of the DVD-3800BDCI, Denon has produced the world’s first BD-ROM Profile 1 version 1.1 Blu-ay Disc player from a Blu-Ray Disc Association. Both the DVD players feature advanced HDMI output capacity that enables the user to experience ultimate video and audio performance, an integrated secondary video and audio decoder and SD card readers.

Denon claims that DVD-3800BDCI is the world’s first to carry 10-bit Silicon Optix Realta chipset with better per-pixel image cleaning, 1080p upscaling for DVDs and digital noise reduction. This allows the player to eliminate image-degrading artifacts for clear and high-resolution image quality.

Additional feature of Denon’s DVD-3800BDCI DVD playback are advanced AL24 processing, HD Audio and DDSC-HD and native processing for Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio.

Owners of DVD-2500BTCI are allowed to add Blu-ray capability to their system for high definition video, provided they have advanced A/V receivers. The transport 2500BTCI only comes with a raw audio and video feeds. It requires a separate home theater receiver to process the final results over HDMI.

With the help of HDMI output, both the players can also output both 7.1-channel analog signals and PCM audio.

Denon has also announced the upgrade of its advanced line of DVD players such as DVD-1940CI, DVD-1740 DVM-1845 with 5-disc DVD changer. Furthermore, three new of the company’s Retail Home Theater DVD lineup models DVD-758, DVD-558 DVM-745 have been added with 5-disc changer.

Denon’s DVD-3800BDCI and DVD-2500BTCI BD-ROM Profile 1 version 1.1 Blu-ray units are expected to ship in this fall. The price of DVD-3800BDCI is $1,999, whereas the price of DVD-2500BTCI is yet to be announced.
