Sony BDZ-X90, BDZ-T70, BDZ-T50 and BDZ-L70 Blu-ray Recorders Launched

Sony has introduced four new Blu-ray recorders called BDZ-X90, BDZ-T70, BDZ-T50 and BDZ-L70.

With hard disk drives, the new recorders feature 24p true cinema, AVCHD support, ‘hi-vision’ encoded recording, HD audio and BRAVIA link. All the four recorders have the ability to burn 50GB dual-layer and BD-R/RE discs.

The Sony BDZ-X90 sports 500GB hard drive claiming to be the largest capacity model amongst the four. It also features 2x digital and 2x analog tuners, gold-plated HDMI 1080p capable of 60fps or 24fps output in DeepColor as well as a DLNA-based ‘Sony Room Link’ server function for streaming media around the house.

BDZ-T50 comes with a 250GB hard disk drive as well as a digital tuner. The BDZ-T70 boasts 320GB HDD and two digital tuners for parallel recording. Finally, the BDZ-L70 carries a 320GB hard drive and is optimized for AVCHD video camera that provides one-touch dubbing.

Sony’s latest recorders can record up to 16 hours of high-definition video into recordable BDs.

All the new Sony Blu-ray recorder devices will be available on 8th November. The BDZ-X90 carries a price tag of 200,000 Yen (approx. Rs. 70,200), the BDZ-L70 will sell for 180,000 Yen (approx. Rs. 63,200), the BDZ-T70 will cost 160,000 Yen (approx. Rs. 56,000) and the BDZ-T50 will retail for 140,000 Yen (approx. Rs. 49,200).
