AT&T Amazon Kindle 3G with special offers now available
AT&T has announced the availability of Amazon’s Kindle 3G with special offers at all its stores. The AT&T Amazon Kindle 3G with special offers which has an almost negligible weight for users to read from one hand without discomfort features a paper-like pearl electronic ink display that doesn’t glare even in sunlight.
Its new Kindle Textbook Rental feature is apparently well suited for students as it decreases their textbook load and helps them save up to eighty percent off textbook list prices by renting from the company’s store. They are allowed to select their own rental periods varying from 30 to 360 days so that the charge is applied only for the specific amount of time they need a book.
“With Kindle 3G, you never have to find or pay for a Wi-Fi hotspot – you simply download and read books anytime, anywhere. We’re excited that AT&T will be offering its customers Kindle 3G with Special Offers. They will get all the features readers love about Kindle 3G – free 3G wireless, global wireless access, Pearl electronic ink display that’s easy to read even in bright sunlight, access to over 950,000 ‘Buy Once, Read Everywhere’ Kindle books, plus money-saving special offers,” said Mike McKenna, Vice President, Amazon Kindle.
Kindle 3G with Special Offers works with AT&T’s mobile broadband network and Wi-Fi to wirelessly download books, magazines, newspapers, blogs and personal documents. Embedded with a 6-inch, high-resolution display, the device supposedly offers the benefits of 3G sans any monthly fees, data plans or annual contracts.
This e-reader provides users across 100 countries and regions with a collection of more than 950,000 books via the Kindle Store. Owing to its global 3G coverage, the books are capable of downloading in less than 60 seconds.
The AT&T Amazon Kindle 3G with special offers is now available at all AT&T stores for a price of $139 (Rs. 6,365).
