TeleNav unveils Shotgun PND, its First Two-Way Internet-connected GPS

Aimed at business travelers, TeleNav has launched its latest personal navigation device, dubbed Shotgun. Supporting two-way internet-connected GPS capabilities, the PND offers real-time wireless network connectivity and also traffic alerts, Internet content (maps and business listings) and updated gas prices. The alerts are available through both audio and on-screen modes.
Compatible with the TeleNav Connected Service, the latest PND from TeleNav has the ability to examine traffic conditions along drivers’ routes and proactively seeks out for congestion or incidents. The Shotgun can also provide information on traffic speed or a flow of major highways, and an estimated time of arrival (ETA) based on traffic, speeds and distance.
Other features of the TeleNav Shotgun include 11 million points of interest (POIs), a 4.3-inch TFT LCD touch screen, full-color 3D maps, ‘My Favorites’ folder to store locations, My TeleNav Internet browser plug-in to support Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google toolbars.
Apart from the above mentioned features, the internet-enabled PND lets user’s preplan trips, save addresses and manage accounts online as well as update the data through wireless network.

Priced at $299 (approx. Rs. 14,160), the TeleNav Shotgun PND has hit the stores for purchase.
