TomTom extends Pro series with three new devices

Gizmos which assist navigation while globe trotting are undoubtedly a traveler’s alternate best friend. With a view to offer enhanced solutions, TomTom has announced the launch of its three new 5” screen navigation devices christened Pro 7150, Pro 9150 and Pro 7150 Truck.

These gadgets encompass 5″ fluid touchscreen displays for providing vehicle drivers with a clear view of the road ahead. Apart from proffering the best possible routes, the Pro series devices integrate a WORKsmart functionality which enables seamless mileage registration, reporting of job statuses, time registration and more.

“The larger display makes the driver’s job of managing his order and communicating back to the office even easier, while also increasing the sizes of the navigation screen itself,” commented Thomas Schmidt, Managing Director of TomTom Business Solutions.

The latest editions also exhibit IQ routes and Eco routes along with support for advanced lane guidance, hands-free calling and text-to-speech capabilities. They feature a multitude of maps for navigating across 45 European countries. These devices are said to be targeted at professional users and crafted to render business specific benefits.

The other attributes offered by these gadgets include time management, vehicle tracking, job dispatch and carbon and fuel management. They also provide instant access to live services like HD Traffic. The Pro 7150 Truck comes equipped with truck-specific routing algorithm and width as also height and weight restrictions on the map for 15 European countries.

The Pro 7150, 9150 and 7150 Truck can be purchased via select retailers at €359 (approx Rs. 22,640), €429 (approx Rs. 27,055) and €399 (approx Rs. 25,157), respectively.
