The Garmin nuLink! 1695 is a 5-inch touchscreen PND that brings essential information to drivers through the nuLink! service.
The device simplifies users’ everyday travel with the nüRoute technology, trafficTrends and myTrends. The PND bundles up a comprehensive set of points of interest (POIs), owing to nuLink!’s Google Local Search and white page telephone listings. The Google Local Search provides online POIs to users’ fingertips and also allows them to search for destinations by name or key words. POIs can be access along with relevant details such as location description, business address, phone number and popularity rating. The white page telephone listing helps search for a person’s street address name or phone number.
“The nuLink! 1695 is designed to give drivers a full variety of accurate, up-to-the-minute information that they can access quickly, on a full-size, 5-inch touchscreen display,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin’s vice president of worldwide sales. “When you add the power of Google Local Searches and nüRoute historical information, the nuLink! 1695 delivers the ultimate navigation experience.”
Besides, the Garmin nuLink! 1695 provides an array of online services such as local events and movie listings. Up-to-the minute arrival and departure information has been made available from major air carriers. Garmin also offers information from Navteq and users can also set their eyes on lane assist with junction view.
Fuel conservation by creating optimized routes using less fuel has been taken care of with the ecoRoute application. The device enables to make and receive phone calls. With support for Bluetooth Wireless Technology, it can be paired with more than 200 Bluetooth enabled phones.
The nuLink! 1695 comes at a suggested retail price of $449.99 (approx Rs. 20,922).
