Mio unveils Navman Spirit range of sat-nav devices in UK

Mio Navman Spirit Sat-nav Devices Mio and Navman have come in conjunction to launch the new Navman Spirit range with three sat-nav devices, namely the Navman Spirit 300 Traffic, the Navman Spirit 500 Traffic and the Navman Spirit Flat.

All the three models are ergonomically designed with soft-curve edges and a stylish, compact exterior, boasting a slim and lightweight form factor. These navigators boast off advanced technologies and Google partnership that enables users to access valuable content from Google and wCities for exploring additional lands and areas while driving.

If you are wondering why the range is named ‘Spirit’, then the answer is that it refers to the new Spirit software that enhances the productivity of the entire series.

Based on a simple and colorful menu system, the Spirit products sport the new slidetouch screen to easily slither swiftly and conveniently for searching the required function. This eliminates the necessity of going back to the main menu and users can easily access all of the features by just a few taps.

In order to make navigation easier and safe, Mio incorporates TruMap Views for improved map clarity, Junction Views for accurate 3D representation of motorway signs and lane guidance with text-to-speech and spoken navigation. The inclusion of FM transmitter enables drivers to tune the device into the car speakers with the help of the radio. In addition to music playback, users are entitled to find destination, avoid traffic and be aware of road speeds and safety cameras with ease.

The Navman Spirit range is pre-loaded with Wcities Travel Books and Google Local that finds specific businesses or generic request via Bluetooth. It is also outfitted with Pedestrian Mode and Explore Mode – an ingenious POI (Point of Interest) feature that assists driver to uncover new places in the nearby locality. On activating the walking mode, users will get to discover more information such as footpaths and building outlines through in-built 2D city maps.

Moreover, drivers also have an alternative to find their way with geo-tagged Navpix pictures, thanks to the NavPix geo-tagged photo navigation feature.

The Navman Spirit 300 Traffic navigator sports a 3.5-inch screen, MioMore desktop 2 for local search, smart economical routing, high-speed GPS fix with SiRFInstantFixII, road speed limit data, built-in traffic information and maps of latest regional / European areas.

Whereas, the Navman Spirit 500 Traffic is available with Western European maps and Bluetooth hands-free options. At 14mm of thinness, it features a 4.7-inch widescreen, smart economical routing, capture button, roadside assistance, AccuWeather weather info, high-speed GPS fix with SiRFInstantFixII, road speed limit data, an integral traffic information and latest regional / European map data.

Lastly, the Navman Spirit Flat is just 14.5mm thin and is equipped with a 4.7-inch super-flat widescreen, MP3 player / video player, FM transmitter and hands-free calling. It also packs in smart economical routing, capture button, roadside assistance, AccuWeather weather info and high-speed GPS fix with SiRFInstantFixII. Road speed limit data, included traffic information with lifetime subscription and latest Western and Eastern European map data are also part of the features.

Although the price of the three models from the Navman Spirit range is unknown, they are now available for purchase in the UK.
