TomTom GO 740 LIVE with real-time data comes to US

TomTom GO 740 LIVE TomTom introduces its GO 740 LIVE navigator with real-time data access for the US market, at the CES. It provides the smartest route, and helps save money, time and fuel. It keeps you updated about drive times and accidents and immediately reroutes according to the conditions.

This new interface offers both easier touch controls and improved voice activation. Sporting a 4.3 inch full TFT color touchscreen, it equips a Bluetooth, preloaded maps of Canada and US, high-sensitivity GPS chipset, 2GB internal memory, built-in SIM card and GPRS modem for plug-and-play connectivity and a rechargeable internal 3 hour battery.

Measuring 3.4” x 5.0” x 0.9” and weighing 7.9 oz, it bundles up several services like TomTom Weather, QuickGPSfix, Real-time traffic speeds and incident reports every 2-5 minutes, Local Search powered by Google lets you locate more than 11 million businesses, TomTom Fuel Price Service which gives information about the gas stations and TomTom Buddies that keeps you connected with your buddies who use the same device.

The TomTom GO 740 LIVE is priced at $499 (approx Rs.23,986) with a one-year free subscription to LIVE services. It will be available during Q2 2009.
