Asus R600 GPS Unit with Auto Light Sensor PND Released

ASUS R600 GPS system ASUS has announced the release of the new Asus R600 Auto Light Sensor PND.

Asus R600 provides a built-in auto light sensor that automatically adjusts the LCD panel backlighting, allowing users to view navigational directions in night, day and even when driving in a tunnel.

Here are the other features of the Asus R600 GPS navigation system:

  • a 4.3-inch WQVGA touchscreen with 480 x 272 pixels resolution
  • Samsung 400MHz processor
  • 128MB of Flash ROM
  • 64MB of SDRAM
  • a SIRFstarIII chipset
  • Bluetooth 2.0
  • Furthermore, a sleek and compact GPS device supports playback for MP3s, as well as video and photo viewing. It comes with a rechargeable battery, which offers 6 hours of life and optional TMC module.

    The R600 has a capacity to display big maps on the screen showcasing out more roads, lanes and points of interest (POI). It also carries SD card expansion up to 4GB.
