Viliv X2 Navigation Unit Introduced
Viliv just revealed a new DMB GPS navigation system in Korea. The system is called as X2.
The X2 uses the highly sensitive SiRF Star III GPS receiver chip, performs Picture-in-Picture so users can watch DMB channels while navigating, and plays multimedia files such as DivX, Mpeg, WMV, MP3, Ogg, WMA and AC3
The Viliv X2 comes is well equipped with 4 or 8 GB flash drive storage but sadly no HDD is included. The memory is further expandable with SD and SDHC (SD High Capacity) cards.
Looking at the brief information available, the device seems to be no lesser than a portable theatre with navigation abilities.
Viliv has not revealed pricing and availability of the X2 is restricted to Korean boundaries only. Even the date of launch is not announced yet.
