Playrix Call Of Atlantis

Playrix Entertainment has announced to bring the Call of Atlantis game to the iPhone and iPod Touch. Keeping up with the original game design of this renowned PC and Mac version, it has been adapted for the Apple devices.

The game has been optimized for the touchscreen and features landscape and portrait display alongside Facebook Connect as well as several other iPhone-specific characteristics. It claims to set new standards for the iPhone puzzle games.

“Call of Atlantis for iPhone and iPod touch marks the first internal adaptation of our games to this viable platform, and we’re excited at how smoothly it has translated to this device,” said Igor Bukhman, Playrix’s President, Products. “We have stayed true to the original version of the game with seamless gameplay and fantastic graphics, but optimized it for the iPhone and iPod users adding some interactive mini games and integrating Facebook Connect, to name just a few. Taking into account the astounding performance of the PC and Mac versions across the boards and numerous awards the title has received to date, we are positive that the iPhone audience will enjoy our compelling tile-swapping puzzler as well.”

The Call of Atlantis for iPhone is a fusion of Match-3 and Adventure. It takes players on an exciting new quest across the ancient lands of the Mediterranean. In this game, the players’ goal is to acquire seven mysterious crystals of power just by swapping adjacent tiles with the pieces of artifacts taken to the bottom of the game screen.

Players have to collect all the crystals of power and bring them back to the Altar of Poseidon. This will please the patron god of the Atlanteans. In return, peace and prosperity will be showered upon the continent. The highlights of the game are 54 addictive levels with endless replay value, 7 ancient lands to explore, impressive quality of graphics, and remarkable visual and sound effects.

The Call of Atlantis is expected to be available at the App Store next month.
