iGugu Gamecore transforms PC into gaming console

For the entertainment enthusiasts everywhere, iGugu hasn’t stopped at the InterneTV. The company is out with the iGugu Gamecore system that converts a PC into a videogame console for the home TV. Gamers are given access to more than 27,000 PC game titles and those available over the internet through the home TV or theater system.
“The launch of iGugu Gamecore will fundamentally change the way in which people look at PC gaming,” elaborated Isaac Calderon, president of iGugu. “Since the arrival of the very first PC game, players have been forced to interact with the games using an unintuitive mix of keystrokes and two-dimensional mouse movements. iGugu Gamecore completely changes PC gaming by providing a game controller that give the user better control over the game than that of traditional game consoles and moves the game from the PC monitor to a large screen television in the living room. Our game system gives gamers all the benefits of a game console and adds the ability to play many more titles stored on the PC or accessed through the internet – and at a fraction of the price.”
iGugu Gamecore is a compact wireless controller integrating a QWERTY keyboard, direction pad, trackball and programmable action buttons. It has six accelerometers that enable gamers to use natural motions for activities steering a vehicle or flying an aircraft. The device is cited to accommodate 99% of all PC and internet-based games including free online games. Owners may browse for games on the iGugu servers or even look for them across the internet. iGugu Mid Range allows for connectivity from distance of around 50 feet via a VGA cable and wireless USB. iGugu Long Range allows audio and HD video transmission distances of up to 330 feet between transmitter/receiver boxes that are attached between the PC and TV set.
iGugu’s Gamecore system will be out in the first half of this year at $79 (approx. Rs.3,616). It is backed by a 12-month warranty and 24-hour technical support.
