Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite price slashed
Right after the PS3 price cut, Microsoft now reveals to do the same. So, all gamers can gear up to choose between the newly priced PS3 and Xbox 360 Elite. Well, both ways the gamers will benefit and that’s for sure.
Beginning August 28, the price of the Xbox 360 Elite console will drop by $100, so the console will now cost the user an estimated price of $299.99 in the United States. The Xbox 360 Pro console on the other hand gets a $50 price slash and will now be available for a value of $249.99 till supplies last.
The Xbox 360 Arcade console will now start at a price of $199.99 which puts all entertainment options in one place namely watching movies, TV shows and listening to music. Another surprise this fall is that gamers can also keep up with social circles such as Twitter and Facebook through this console. The company has also announced that the Xbox 360 which one buys today will work with a code-name ‘Project Natal’ and it shall supply controller-free gaming in the future.
“With the holiday season right around the corner, it’s already time to start looking for entertainment and gifts that everyone will enjoy,” said Shane Kim, corporate vice president of strategy and business development for the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft Corp. “If you’re looking for deep experiences that don’t require deep pockets, now is the time to purchase an Xbox 360. We’ve got the best games, a vast library of TV shows and movies, new music experiences, more ways to connect friends and family, and so much more on the horizon including ‘Project Natal’ — no controller required.”
An Xbox 360 console can comfortably sit bang in the center of one’s living room as it provides entertainment for any occasion. Gamers will soon have the access to high-quality streaming songs from Last.fm along with the Zune video on Xbox LIVE that will present a compilation of a video megastore in 1080p clarity for many videos and the convenience of on-demand.
The Xbox Live also allows users to personalize their console through Xbox LIVE Avatar Marketplace for the latest fashion. Through ‘game on demand’ users can now download Xbox 360 titles to their hard drives. The Xbox also provides a Netflix unlimited membership and an Xbox LIVE Gold Membership that permit internet browsing and give an option of adding movies and TV episodes to an instant queue or connect with friends for a Netflix Movie Party.
