iBuypower Chimera Series gaming desktops unleashed
The gaming enthusiasts are in for a treat as iBuypower unveils its newest offerings in the form of the Chimera Series of gaming desktops. Harnessing the latest AMD and Intel platforms, these gaming desktops adorn a unique visual case design.
The Chimera desktop series is visually appealing with glossy full-chassis flame paint. The machine dispels heat from its several components with the triple-120mm cooling fan setup. The chassis also displays the system status in real time with a display integrated on the front panel.
This series is available in two base configurations namely the Killer X58 and the Killer AM3. Powered by the Intel Core i7 920 processor, the Killer X58 offers the Bigfoot Xeno Pro Gaming Network Card. This machine also packs in Asus P6T Intel X58 motherboard with support for CrossFire and SLI, 6GB triple channel DDR3 memory, 760GB SATA-II hard drive, 22x DL DVD+/-RW drive and 2xNvidia GeForce GTX 275 (896MB).
The next is the Killer AM3 that comes integrated with the Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition processor. It bundles up 8GB DDR3-1333 memory, AMD 790GX CrossFire motherboard, 760GB SATA-II hard drive and 2xATI Radeon HD 4770 (512MB).
The Killer X58 and the Killer AM3 come at a starting price of $1,899 (approx. Rs. 91,037) and $1,499 (approx. Rs. 71,861) respectively. Apparently, these machines will start shipping from August 15.
