EA caters to golf enthusiasts with Tee Shot Live for iPhone application
It may be hard to find a golfer who isn’t bent on improving his handicap. Electronic Arts has proclaimed the release of the Tee Shot Live iPhone application that will assist golfers in keeping a track over their performance, share golfing information and so on.
The application helps the user to track individual scores, upload from over 9000 real golf courses and determine handicaps. The creative heads claim that it is equivalent to having a personal caddy to provide players with equipment, history and shot distance appraisal information. Besides that, the service’s GPS provides golfers with their own location as well as shot location data via Google Maps.
“Golfers are always looking for an advantage to enhance their game and this innovative application provides them with all the tools and information they need to succeed and share their accomplishments with others,” claims Executive Producer Mike Taramykin. “Tee Shot Live is another example of how EA Sports is working to infuse our franchise expertise and technological innovations and applying it to real-life environments that enhance the way that people see and experience their favorite sports.”
The EA Sports Tee Shot Live website will host user scorecard, statistical, group and event information as well as virtual tournaments. People can compare equipment, upload, and review golf-related subjects online. The website is available at TeeShotLive.
The application costs $9.99 (approx. Rs.475), at Apple’s App Store for iPhone or iPod touch as well as the iTunes store. The 10-day promotional period price is $0.99 (approx.Rs.47).
