Xbox 360′s Prices Slashed in Europe

After several rumors and speculations, Microsoft has officially dropped the prices of the Xbox 360, in Europe.
The console’s Arcade version is now available in the European market for €200. While the black, 120GB Elite model will now be sold at €370.
On the other hand, in the UK, the Arcade can be bought at £160 and the black Elite version will carry the price tag of £270.
Microsoft’s move to cut the price is apparently to compete with the Xbox 360’s rival Nintendo Wii. With this move, the Xbox 360 will now be available in Europe at a lesser price than even the Wii.
Last week there were rumors that the Xbox 360 would soon have a bigger hard drive. Speculations say that the 360’s 20GB hard drive will soon be replaced by a 60GB one. Reportedly, the Xbox 360 with increased capacity is expected in the market by June 2008.
However, Microsoft has not confirmed the news as of now.
