Sony announces GPS Enabled PSP

With the announcement of TV tuner for PlayStation3, Sony also announced GPS support for the PSP. “Go!Explore”, that’s what the GPS navigation system for PSP is called. The GPS software is developed by eleAtlas and NavNGo.
The system will support eleven languages including English, German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish. The software will include 3D maps and landmarks.
Moreover, it will have automatic zoom and tilt functionality, ‘smart’ keyboard, logged history and favorites, and customizable route settings.
No pricing information was disclosed but the GPS enabled PSP is expected to hit the European market by early 2008.
