Recently we had reported about rumors spreading over a Sony Ericsson phone. Now Sony’s representative told GamesIndustry.biz that PlayStation Phones are on their way.
As the name suggests the speculated PlayStation Phone would be a gaming dedicated phone. However, its details are not revealed as of now.
These rumors started when The Economic Times reported about Sony’s undisclosed project of launching the Bravia-branded handset.
Reportedly SCE’s co-chief operating officer, Jim Ryan, told the Indian daily publication, “The PlayStation is a proven success and so is Sony Ericsson. Convergence with the two arms working together is definitely plausible.”
On the other hand, a company spokesperson refused the possibility of the PSP phone and said, “Jim Ryan was in fact misquoted by the Economic Times of India about this issue. We are not currently working together on the creation of a PlayStation Phone.”
Only time will tell as to which phone bundled with innovative features will be launched by Sony.
