Wii Shortage is an Opportunity Missed, says Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime
Two months back Nintendo announced that Wii might get out of stock by Christmas. Now, America-based Nintendo’s Chief Operating Officer, Reggie Fils-Aime has admitted that the firm couldn’t stand up to the expectation of the buyers to meet intense Christmas demand.
The COO terms the inability to build enough Wii consoles as an ‘Opportunity Missed’.
Nintendo of America’s president Reggie Fils-Aime, expressed “They aren’t going to sleep outside of a store overnight or visit a retailer five or six times,” he said. “It is literally a missed opportunity.”
Nintendo is trying to catch up to the demand. They also informed that there is no secret plan to store Wii in a warehouse to spur demand.
