Microsoft Denies Xbox 360 IPTV Autumn Launch

Xbox 360 IPTV launch rumor There are rumors about the release of the 360′s IPTV functionality, a version of its Microsoft Mediaroom software, to be included in the Xbox 360 firmware update this autumn. However, Microsoft refuses to reveal the immediate launch date of the Xbox IPTV.

This gossip made its impact when an Xbox 360 owner noticed a new IPTV option on the dashboard menu. The owner had received the device back from Microsoft Xbox Repair Center, after it had been repaired.

On the contrary, Microsoft made it very clear that the IPTV feature was disclosed while the device was being serviced and it’s unrelated to the fall update. The company is also avoiding talking about the features that will release in the upcoming update.
Xbox 360 fans and owners need not be upset because the IPTV feature is expected to be launched officially by the end of 2007 and will be available from Xbox 360 through a service provider who distributes Xbox 360 with Microsoft Mediaroom (IPTV) services.
