ZTE marks a Record of 10 million Mobile Phones in Indian Market

Today, ZTE Corporation, global provider of telecommunication equipment and network solution, has announced at the event held in Mumbai that they have achieved a record of selling 10 million handsets in the country.

The company stated that they have collaborated with several prominent telecom providers such as Reliance Communications, Tata Teleservices, Bharti Airtel. ZTE provides terminals and handsets of various levels to the above mentioned providers.

He Shiyou, Senior Vice President of ZTE Corporation, expressed, “ZTE has successfully penetrated and taken advantages of the enormous business opportunities in India, the fastest growing telecom market in the word today. ZTE has been significantly investing in handset R&D for almost a decade now. Today, ZTE handset is one of the few with the capability of researching and developing all series of terminal products like 3G, GSM, CDMA, PHS FWT, wireless data card, etc.”

Interestingly, ZTE’s CEO Huang Dabin offered the 10th million ZTE handset to the President of Dabbawala Community, Raghunath.

At the event, E700, A36, D800, P909G1 and D90 were amongst the other handset showcased by ZTE.

The price of the mobile devices is not disclosed. However, the company did mention that mobile devices are cost-effective.

The company is targeting all the youth who wants to try something new with their devices and are keen to keep upgrading their handsets.

Apparently, we can expect ZTE Corporation to soon open its manufacturing hub in India.
