Barnes & Noble Nook reaches Walmart’s store shelves

Barnes Noble Nook Wi-Fi Book lovers may have already snapped up their Nook for seamless e-Book reading. For users who’d like to gift one this holiday season, Barnes & Noble has just announced that its Nook e-Book reader will now be available through Walmart stores and its online website.

Multiple Walmart stores presently have a Nook-branded e-Reading area where users can view and touch the demonstration device. Two variants namely Nook 3G that renders free AT&T 3G wireless and Wi-Fi connectivity along with Nook Wi-Fi model are slated to be available by the retail chain. Both of these produce crisp and clear imagery plus proffer a paper-like E Ink display for an enhanced reading experience.

Users can access the Barnes & Noble expansive eBookstore featuring over one million e-Books, magazines and newspapers through the device. Using the LendMe technology, the Nook e-Readers allow users to share their e-Books with their loved ones. Moreover, these devices enable voracious readers to enjoy their favorite titles.

The Nook 3G and Nook Wi-Fi models are anticipated to be available through Walmart’s online website and retail stores beginning October 24.
