Canon brings out six new LCD multimedia projectors

Canon U.S.A. has unveiled six brand new projectors for educational and business presenting needs. These include the Canon LV-8310, LV-8215, LV-7385, LV-7380, LV-7285 and LV-7280 LCD multimedia projectors. The LV-8310 and LV-8215 deliver native WXGA widescreen resolutions of 1280 x 800p in 16:9 aspect ratios, while the rest are XGA 1024 x 768p resolution models.

The LV-7385 and LV-7280 extend 3500 lumens and 2200 lumens of brightness respectively, while the LV-8310 and LV-7380 offer 3000 lumens of brightness. The LV-8215 and LV-7285 projectors render 2600 lumens brightness. Each model boasts of integrating a DVI-I interface and lends support to HDCP as also HD content. The chassis hosts a built-in RJ-45 network port and an RS-232 port.

“Canon strives to develop projectors offering superior quality and flexibility to the end-user,” averred Yuichi Ishizuka, executive vice president and general manager, Consumer Imaging Group at Canon U.S.A. “The addition of these new LCD multimedia projectors will provide customers with many different options to choose from when deciding what their projection needs entail.”

Canon’s latest offerings share a host of features like Stand-By mode, an enhanced lamp lighting systems that enables the lamp to run for around 4,000 hours when used in Normal mode and 5,000 hours in Quiet mode. The Carbon Reduction Meter displays the amount of CO2 emissions reduced from operating in Quiet Mode and Auto Energy Saver automatically sets the projector to Quiet Mode when no input signal is received for up to sixty seconds.

Canon’s LV-8310, LV-8215, V-7385, LV-7380, LV-7285 and LV-7280 LCD multimedia projectors are priced at $1,199, (approx. Rs.54,560), $1,099 (approx. Rs.50,000), $1,699 (approx. Rs.77,310), $999 (approx. Rs.45,460), $899 (approx. Rs.40,910), and $799 (approx. Rs.36,360), correspondingly.
