It looks like the wait for Samsung’s LED monitors which we reported last month is finally over. The company has arrived with the 50 and 30 series of back-lit LED displays. Apart from being eco-friendly, these attractive screens are designed to offer a better viewing experience.

The Magic Angle feature of the monitors reduces distortion and centers images to let users enjoy improved visuals from any angle without straining their eyes. The displays flaunt a fast response time of 2ms and a 16:9 aspect ratio. They exhibit an FHD resolution and possess a Mega Dynamic contrast ratio. Further, in case of an abrupt shut down the Magic Return functionality moves the content from one screen to the next automatically when users work with two monitors.

“Samsung’s 50 and 30 LED monitors illustrate our commitment to releasing top-of-the-line products that are environmentally-friendly and address the needs of consumers,” affirmed Jin-hwan Kim, VP, Visual Display Business, Samsung Electronics. “Through our continuous monitor innovations, we expect the 50 and 30 series of LED monitors will strengthen our leadership in the global LED monitor market.”

The monitors feature the PlanetFirst function that makes them free of harmful elements like mercury or lead. They consume less energy as well as integrate ToC technology. The absence of paints, sprays or glues eliminates VOCs and making them recyclable. Users can alter the brightness levels to manage the energy consumption of the units. The devices come with four energy-saving modes namely, 100%, 75%, 50%, and Power-Saving Off.

Both the monitors meet Energy Star 5.0 speciifcations and the 50 series is also gratified with China’s Energy Level 1 grade making them eco-friendly products. The 50 series is finished with a charcoal gray design and comes with a chrome finish stand complete with an intricate wave back-pattern. On the other hand, the 30 series boasts of a mystic brown design very like a handcrafted chocolate.

Samsung’s 50 and 30 series LED displays may seem like a treat for environment-conscious consumers.
