Philips goes green with new eco-friendly 225B2 monitor

Enshrouded in a sleek, stylish design, the display ensures lower operating costs by significantly saving energy.

The new 225B2 comes equipped with 22-inch TFT-LCD screen and PowerSensor, a built-in ‘people sensor’ that transmits and receives harmless infrared signals to determine if users are present and automatically eliminates monitor brightness when one steps away from the desk. Designed to be completely eco-friendly, the new offering aligns with Philips’ commitment to ‘Sense and Simple’ that allows users to switch off their monitor at any given time.

Featuring an ergonomic design, the enticing display has a compact ergo base that tilts, swivels and is height adjustable so users can position the monitor for maximum vieing comfort and efficiency. Apart from this, it sports USB Hub with two ports that enable users to conveniently connect their plug and play multimedia devices such as USB memory devices, camera, portable HDD, Web camera, PDA, Printer and other devices with USB connection.

A pair of high-quality stereo speakers built into a display ensures a truly immersive user experience. The new model also comes with SmartTouch controls that replace protruding buttons. With 1680×1050 native resolution, 5ms response time, 250 cd/m2 brightness and 500,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, the device puts forth an exceptionally great level of performance.
