ViewSonic intros new commercial display and multimedia HDTV

Viewsonic Logo ViewSonic introduces new CD4230 ultra-thin bezel commercial display and VTMS2431 LCD HDTV to its digital signage range.

“As a leader in visual display technology, we understand what it takes to set up and manage a digital signage network,” said Jeff Volpe, vice president and general manager of ViewSonic North America. “The addition of these new products to our portfolio furthers our position as a one-stop shop for installers that demand a complete solution set.”

Let’s look at them one by one,

CD4230 Ultra-Thin Bezel Commercial LCD: This 42-inch commercial display introduces a new slim standard for large format, high-impact digital signage. It is about 13.77mm in thickness and bundles up several features like 500 nits of brightness, 1,500:1 contrast ratio, DVI and VGA ports, RS-232 daisy-chain capable and is compliant with VESA-mount.

It is priced at $1,999 (approx Rs. 102,143) and will be available in second quarter of 2009.

VTMS2431 LCD HDTV: This multimedia-capable LCD HDTV sports a 24-inch display with Full HD resolutions up to 1080p. It is equipped with ATSC / NTSC / QAM tuner, an internal media player and USB port. You can remotely control the TV using the RS-232 port, thus transforming it into a signage display.

It will cost you $449 (approx Rs. 22,942) and will be available during second quarter of 2009.
