Panasonic Viera logoConsumers in the Middle-East market can now get ready for the finest in plasma and LCD technology. Each ultra stylish model in the Viera range claims to redefine the art of flat screen and sets new standards. Panasonic has launched an additional 9 LCDs and 8 Plasma high definition Viera TVs.

The company offers three distinctive features for the users. They include improved unique features like ‘Full-time Full HD’ and Viera Image Viewer function that helps in viewing the pictures efficiently via a SD card. The firm also maintains that the videos by SD card are the first of their kind in a flat panel TV.

“The way people see TV in the Middle East has dramatically evolved, and our products are designed to match our customer’s changing lifestyles,” commented Abby Thomas, Senior Manager, Consumer Electronics Department, Panasonic Marketing Middle East. “Panasonic is committed to making leading entertainment technology readily available to our customers.”

The current year’s Viera models have improved Viera Image Viewer function. At present the SD Card Link is a standard feature in all models. Merely by plugging in the SD card into the TV, users can immediately watch pictures and videos. It’s a three way method which includes shoot, insert and see. The direct playback option on the device helps consumers to enjoy pictures and videos at their fingertips.

The new Viera models further incorporate an exclusive development by the company called the ‘Full-time Full HD’. A new level of picture quality is delivered to the consumers through the enhanced motion image performance, contrast and color reproduction. The ‘Full-time Full HD’ option helps users enjoy clear, sharp motion images while also watching still or motion pictures.

“The region is increasingly becoming tech savvy, customers are looking for a one-stop-solution to smart networking in their homes and our product does exactly that. Viera which is more than just a TV, allows customers to personalize the channel they are viewing and enjoy their favourite moments with family and friends while giving full consideration to the environment,” added Thomas.

Each Viera plasma TV includes the new NeoPDP display panels that offer thrilling possibilities in image quality. The NeoPDP has twice the luminous efficiency of previous displays and is upgraded in three crucial areas namely material & processing, discharge gas & cell design and circuit & drive technology. This development is intended to target a market share of 60% in the Plasma arena.

The New IPS Alpha Panels offer striking images from a very wide angle. Viewers can have the benefit of richer, brighter and more natural looking images in their Viera LCDs through Panasonic’s In-Plane-Switching technology. As compared to the conventional panels these new panels have 1.5 times more transmissivity.

All the Panasonic panels have a life of up to 100,000 hrs and a lifespan of 30 years when viewed 8 hours a day. With wider viewing angle of 178 degrees, the new mercury and lead free panels are 1-inch thick. Each model comes with a SD card slot and a motion and still images resolution of 1080 lines.

The Viera link facility helps the remote control to be operated with devices connected to Viera TV via an HDMI cable. Automatically powering-down connected devices by switching them to Intelligent Auto Stand-By also helps to save energy.

The Panasonic Viera models will be available in stores this year. The price of the products is not known.
