Hitachi unveils its latest CP-X3010N 3LCD Projector

A new light has dawned upon projector networking technology courtesy Hitachi, literally! The company introduced the CP-X3010N 3LCD projector that provides users with superior networking capabilities along with a host of other advanced functions.

The CP-X3010N delivers outstanding performance and convenience. It has a brightness of 3,000 lumens, a 2000:1 contrast ratio and enhanced networking capabilities. It features 16 Watts of built-in audio, nullifying the users need for speakers which maintains a low noise rating of 29dBA in Eco Mode. This device also features a long lamp life of 3,000 hours in the Standard Mode and 6,000 hours in the Eco Mode.

“With the CP-X3010N being the network able counterpart to the CP-X3010, Hitachi offers networking options for projectors of all sizes and applications,” mentioned John Glad, product manager, Hitachi Home Electronics (America), Inc., Business Group. “In addition, with a variety of network-related functions proprietary to Hitachi, our networking capabilities are renowned in the industry.”

This projector boasts of a My Buttons function which enables two programming buttons to execute any projector command. It also enables users to rename input sources to fit their needs with its input Source Naming function. It also has a Closed Captioning feature.

Along with introduction of the CP-X3010N the company also released the Projector Management Application Version 7. This provides users the ability to control, diagnose and manage an individual or group of Hitachi projectors from the same location. This new version boasts of the ability to produce queries and reports. This provides managers with the ability to gather data to analyze projector usage and produce call tickets.

Functions of the new Hitachi projector can additionally be controlled through a toolbar on the desktop or laptop PC with the help of the Projector Control application. It is economical with respect to remote battery replacement since the controls are on the PC. Users can control up to five of the same projectors at the same time with this feature. This device also has an advanced control menu that is ideal for installation and maintenance. Additionally, a direct Rj-45 connection, an 802.11 b/g wireless connection, or an external Ethernet-to-serial device should allow connection to the Hitachi projectors.

AV/IT administrators can also transfer still images like emergency alerts from a PC to each projector on the network with the My Image function. This feature is ideal for sending presentation images ahead to a projector or morning announcements to rooms on campus. An administrator can send text messages that appear on the screen of the projector with the Projector Messenger Application.

The price and availability of the CP-X3010N 3LCD projector have not yet been mentioned.
