Asus announces energy-efficient LCD monitors at CeBIT

Asus EzLink VH192C and VH196 At CeBit, Asus gets environment friendly as it introduced its lineup of energy-efficient LCD monitors, according to reports by Electronista. This new range also includes the EzLink series which consists of the first ever monitor with wireless connection.

Apparently, with no degradation in quality you can connect the monitors to their host computers through a Wireless Host Controller Interface (WHCI) or Wireless USB Host Wire Adapter (HWA).

The eco-friendly monitors, VH192C and VH196 utilize lower mercury levels and consume less power by about 20 percent by using just two lamps. The high brightness level is maintained with an optical film.

Asus is yet to reveal the pricing and availability.
