NEC Announces 22-inch MultiSync P221W Widescreen Desktop Monitor

NEC MultiSync P221W Display NEC has announced the introduction of its latest widescreen MultiSync P221W monitor. This 22-inch desktop monitor is said to be the first to be introduced from the MultiSync P Series.

The MultiSync P221W offers 1680 x 1050 native resolution, internal 10-bit programmable lookup tables (LUTs), 1000:1 typical contrast ratio, 16ms response time, 300 cd/m2 typical brightness and AmbiBright automatic brightness adjustment.

“Built upon the success of the 90 Series displays, the new MultiSync P Series has features specifically designed for the professional graphics user,” commented Stan Swiderski, Product Manager for NEC Display Solutions.

Some of the other features of the NEC MultiSync P221W widescreen desktop monitor include:

  • Wide color gamut achieves 96 percent coverage of AdobeRGB
  • S-PVA LCD technology for the widest viewing angles with minimal off-angle color shift
  • XtraView+ 178° viewing angle
  • ECO Mode and carbon footprint reduction
  • Analog and digital input signal
  • Four-way ergonomic stand (tilt/swivel/pivot/height-adjust)
  • Optional Soundbar 90
  • Ensuring pristine color display, the first desktop display from P series comes with an optional NEC SpectraviewII color calibration kit, including an optimized calibration sensor based on the highly acclaimed X-Rite iOne Display v2.

    Backed by a three-year warranty, the 22-inch P221W is slated to be available by December for a suggested price of $636.90 (approx. Rs. 31,700). The SpectraViewII color calibration kit can be purchased for additional $374.99 (approx. Rs. 18,663).
