Sony S-Frame 8” DPF-D80 and 10” DPF-D100 digital photo frames introduced

Sony DPF-D80 and DPF-D100 Sony has two new additions to its S-Frame digital photo frames namely the 8” DPF-D80 and 10” DPF-D100 at the PhotoPlus Expo trade show.

Both DPF-D80 and DPF-D100 digital photo frames offer high-quality SVGA resolution (800 x 600 pixels) LCD screens, 4:3 aspect ratio, advanced image processing feature and can display images up to 48 megapixels or files that are up to 100MB.

The digital photo frames come with 200MB of storage capacity. You can load digital images using various types of flash memory cards like Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick PRO Duo, SD Memory Card, MMC, Compact Flash, Microdrive and xD-Picture Card. It also lets you transfer photos using a USB cable from PC or digital camera, the new photo frames support JPEG and RAW (SRF, SR2, ARW) image file formats.

The S-Frame DPF-D80 and DPF-D100 feature digital auto orientation sensor that automatically detects and adjusts the display depending upon whether the frame is positioned horizontally or vertically. On placing the frame horizontally, the Sony logo lights up and in the vertical position the logo turns off and blends into the piano black color of the frame.

The frames include 10 slide show variations, clock and calendar views, two index modes, auto power on/off setting and a remote control.

The DPF-D80 digital photo frame is now available for $180 (approx Rs. 8,995) while the DPF-D100 photo frame will be available in November for $280 (approx Rs. 13,993). They will be available at the SonyStyle website as well as through select Sony Style retail stores. The DPF-D100 photo frame is now available for pre-order at the Sonystyle website.
