Shinoda Plasma develops 125-inch Flexible Plasma Display
Shinoda Plasma has announced plans to demonstrate its latest development in the plasma display segment. The company is known for its next-generation large-screen display and keeps its same pace to maintain its prestige. The newest display is said to be a flexible, 1-millimeter thick, 125-inch film-type prototype display. Shinoda will showcase it at the InfoComm 2008, which is scheduled to begin in June.
Weighing 3.6kgs, the 125-inch plasma display can also work as a curved or wrap-around screen, allowing users to appreciate the flexibility and high-quality image viewing capability. The weight of the display is said to be ten times lesser as compared to conventional displays. The company has utilized three faultless 1 x 1m square display panels that deliver 960 x 360 pixels of resolution.
This product will surely make a good digital wallpaper for the home. There are many people who would love to own this thin display. But, the price would probably change their minds.
Shinoda seems to be on the verge of developing a small-scale production of a 3 x 2m, 150-inch version of display, which is slated to present in the Autumn.
