Acer announced its new stylish and space-saving Acer Aspire X3200 desktop PC and Acer P244W 24-inch widescreen LCD display in the US. The Acer Aspire X3200 is packed with multimedia features while the simple to use Acer P244W display offers high-definition video, games and multimedia with its support for 1080p HD and 1920×1080 resolution.

“Offering 64-bit Windows, a Blu-ray drive and significant memory, the Aspire X3200 packs plenty of power for tackling the demands of multitasking and the latest digital entertainment,” said Stephanie Eggert, Senior Manager, Retail Desktop Product Planning for Acer America. “The P244W display’s stunning picture quality and user-friendly design make it a must-have for the home. Users choosing to combine the 24-inch display with the compact desktop, will have an excellent system for enjoying productivity, movies, music and games without taking up a lot of space.”

Sporting a black color, the Acer Aspire X3200 measures 10.4-inches (H) x 4-inches (W) x 14.4-inches (L), the card reader, audio jacks and ports are on the front of the PC for easy accessibility.

The Acer Aspire X3200 packs in AMD Phenom X3 processing power, Blu-ray disc technology, NVIDIA GeForce graphics, AMD Phenom X3 Triple-Core 8450 Processor (2.1GHz, 512KB X 3 L2 Cache), 4096MB DDR2 memory, dual channel, NVIDIA GeForce 8200 Chipset, 640GB SATA II (7200RPM, 8MB Cache), Blu-ray disc/DVD-super multi double-layer drive, multi-in-one digital media card reader, 56K ITU v.92 Ready Fax/Modem (RJ-11 Port), optimized Dolby Home Theater, Windows Vista Home premium 64-Bit with SP1, 9 USB 2.0 Ports (5 Front, 4 Rear), IEEE 1394 port, HDMI port, eSATA port, amplified stereo speakers (USB powered), Acer USB keyboard and a USB optical mouse.

Dressed in a polished black bezel and base with silver accents, the Acer P244W display incorporates SensorTouch technology that offers one-touch convenience. It has replaced buttons with LED illuminated controls.

The Acer P244W LCD features a 24-inch widescreen, 1920×1080 (native and maximum) resolution, 1080p high-def support, 75Hz (Maximum) refresh rate, 20000:1 (ACM) contrast ratio, 300cd/m2 brightness, 170° (H)/160° (V) viewing angles, 2x HDMI, 1x VGA inputs, Vesa 100MM wall mount, an internal power supply and it is Energy Star Compliant.

The Acer Aspire X3200-U3630A desktop PC and P244W 24-inch LCD display are now available for $679.99 (approx Rs. 32,770) and $339 (approx Rs. 16,300) respectively.
