LG Flatron W2252TE – the World’s most Energy-Efficient Monitor
With the release of Flatron W2252TE, LG has taken a green step towards the eco-friendly way. It claims to be the world’s most energy-efficient monitor.
The latest 22-inch widescreen LCD boasts to deliver a 45 percent power reduction, saving 40 watts of consumption. However, it has the ability to offer a 10,000:1 dynamic contrast, 250cd/m2 of brightness and 2ms response rate. It also delivers a resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels with a 170 degree viewing angle and 4:3 aspect ratio which eliminates distortion while viewing non-widescreen material.
Moreover, the new Flatron monitor also includes a photo effect function design that can be utilized when working with pictures and videos.
Commenting on the Green Monitor, Fiona Landsberg, marketing manager, LG Electronics, stated, “The W2252TE gives consumers the chance to work, play games, watch movies or surf the internet, safe in the knowledge that they are doing as much as possible to help reduce their impact on the environment.”
LG’s first display in the new “green” range of energy efficient monitors, Flatron W225TE is slated to hit the UK market by August this year to allow users to be part of the eco-friendly move. No information on the pricing.
