Philips to unveil New Product Line for Women at CES

Philips logo Philips has announced its latest design collection that includes a series of TVs, home audio systems and other equipments. The company plans to introduce this new product line at CES 2008.

The Dutch Electronics maker plans make the products appeal more to women as they are the one who generally make the buying decisions. Andrea Ragnetti, the new CEO of Philips Electronics maintained that although men crave electronics, women actually make the final buying decisions. Thus, the company is launching a campaign that will appeal more to women, by making their electronics more fashion forward and elegant.

The ultimate dream TV that features white bezel with a translucent frame, the Streamium home audio products, set of crystal ear buds and the Active Crystal USB, which comes with the large crystal pendant drives designed by Swarovski, are some of the products that Philips aims to launch.

These consumer lifestyle devices include the Aurea TVs, 1080p TV sets with 120 Hz refresh rates and response times of two milliseconds, Bluetooth-based audio solutions that can play music from a cell phone.

The company also showed distinctive Blu-Ray box, the BDP7200, its first profile 1.1-compliant player.

Fashion with function seems to be the key feature to attract women buyers.
