Three New S-Frame Digital Photo Frames launched by Sony

Sony has released its new range of digital photo frames. The S-Frame brand of digital frames includes DPF-V900, DPF-V700 and DPF-D70. The elegant frames provide vibrant LCD screens, internal memory and HDMI outputs.
All three digital photo frames come with a 10 slide show variations, clock and calendar views, remote controller to manage the frame from a distance along with two index modes that allow users to preview several photos at once. The auto power on/off setting ensures conserving energy.
According to Ted Okada, senior vice president of digital imaging for Sony Electronics “Digital photo frames are a natural addition to our line of digital imaging products. Our new S-Frame brand of digital photo frames takes inspiration from the style and features of our Cyber-shot cameras and BRAVIA LCD televisions. They give consumers a beautiful and technically advanced way to showcase their memories.”
Housed in black bezels, the S-Frame has the ability to display pictures up to 48 megapixels and offers WVGA resolution (800 x 480 pixels) and 15:9 aspect-ratio screens. These models support Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick PRO Duo, SD Memory Card, MMC, Compact Flash, Microdrive and xD-Picture Card as well as USB capability to transfer photos from PC to frame.
An auto-resizing feature helps the consumer to reduce the size of the images, allowing more storage. The Digital photo frames support PEG and RAW (SRF, SR2, ARW) image file formats, while the DPF-V900 and DPF-V700 frames are also compatible with TIFF and BMP file formats.
Sony’s 7-inch DPF-V700 and 9-inch DPF-V900 digital photo frames sport 512MB of internal storage, Bluetooth technology, is compatible with Sony BRAVIA and other HDTV sets and HDMI cable. Both the models incorporate Sony’s Bionz processor with face detection technology that delivers faster processing speeds. These two models also have in-frame photo correction such as focus enhancement, red-eye corrections and exposure adjustment. The 7-inch DPF-D70 digital photo frame includes 256MB of internal flash memory.
Sony plans to start shipping the DPF-V900, DPF-V700 and DPF-D70 digital photo frames in March with the price tag of $250 (approx. Rs. 10,000), $190 (approx. Rs. 7,600) and $140 (approx. Rs. 5,600), respectively.
