In an effort to augment its range of compact snappers, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS20 and Lumix DMC-ZS15 cameras have been recently unveiled by the Japanese manufacturer. This comes hot on the heels of three new image capturing devices introduced lately by Sony, seeming like a complete treat for avid photographers. Ready to be made commercially available in March 2012, these new and compact gadgets have been announced by the company along with their price details.

Embedded with a 24mm wide angle Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens, the ZS20 model is touted to be the slimmest digital camera in the world with a 20x optical zoom attribute. It also features a 3-inch Smart Touch LCD screen as well as a 14.1MP high sensitivity MOS sensor. Enhanced with integrated GPS functions, this gadget can be picked up in trendy hues like black, red, white, and silver.

Another new addition to Panasonic’s list of digital cameras is the Lumix DMC-ZS15, which features a built-in 12.1MP sensor. Incorporated with the aforementioned Leica lens, this camera offers an optical zoom of 16x. Dressed in black or silver, the device is also capable of delivering 32x intelligent zoom.

The Panasonic Lumix ZS20 and ZS15 price tags read as $349.99 and $279.99, respectively. Both cameras are expected to be made available in the month of March.
