Panasonic Lumix FZ47 camera refreshes FZ series with 24X optical zoom
Giving users a closer look at things is the Panasonic Lumix FZ47 camera that comes packed with a 24x optical zoom in a 25mm ultra-wide angle Lecia Dc Vario-Elmarit lens. The high-quality lens features Panasonic’s Nano Surface Coating technology that minimizes light reflection which may cause ghosting and flare.
With full HD 1080i video recording capability, the 12.1MP camera comes equipped with a hi-speed CCD sensor. The device is said to produce high-speed and large capacity signal processing to maintain a resolution of 1920 x 1080, ideal for recording in the AVCHD format. Also, the Venus Engine FHD processor helps in the creation of high quality images and video, powering the Intelligent Resolution technology to perform the optimum signal processing and also extending its zoom capability by 1.3x times to a 32x zoom.

Compared to the Panasonic Lumiz FZ40, the Lumix FZ47 will have a 35% faster start-up time, faster response time and accurate AF tracking. Also featuring in the device is Dolby Digital Stereo Creator, Wind Cut function, Creative Video and Image mode. Under the creative mode users can utilize various options such as expressive, retro, high key, sepia, high dynamic, miniature effect, film grain and pin hole along with exposure settings which comprises adjustment of contrast, sharpness, saturation and noise reduction. Lastly the iA mode auto selects the best settings based on the environment while in the 3D Photo mode users can capture still images.
The Panasonic Lumix FZ47 will be available in August 2011 for a price of $399.99 (approx. Rs. 17,741) and comes in the color black.
